You can use them to grab a triome, a dual land, a shock land (coming up next) and you're not forced to bring your new land in tapped unless the card you fetch instructs you to do so
If you haven't played it before, either with the preconstructed decks Wizards makes for it, or with some mismatched Commander decks, I highly suggest it
It slithers through the senses, constricting consciousness and poisoning perceptions
Of course, it doesnt prevent any damage to itself, which is a bummer, but the ability to slap this card down and then play a Star of Extinction with a full board putting 20 +1/+1 counters on all of your creatures (except for Vigor) is a play that will likely cause your foe to concede on the spot
